ROSSI GAME OVER
Valentino Rossi’s hopes of lifting a tenth world title in the 2017 MotoGP championship have been brought to a screeching halt after the Movistar Yamaha rider crashed while training on an enduro bike on Thursday, breaking his leg and being forced to undergo surgery to fix the damage. The injury means that he will almost certainly sit out two of the remaining six rounds of one of the tightest title races in history, all but ending any hopes he had of beating Andrea Dovizioso, Marc Marquez and Maverick Viñales come Valencia in November.
