With Behemoth blast furnace Inferno providing a thunderous percussive assault, Azarath’s blacktinged death metal shows no sign of faltering on their seventh full-length. This undervalued band continues to unleash chaotic Azagthothian rites – and the prevalent Morbid Angel affinity is further increased here with the demonic, David Vincentesque vocalising of new man Skullripper, who acts as a dominant focal point throughout. With serpentine Nile-like leads, an oppressive atmosphere akin to Demigod-era Behemoth, Hate Eternal or Immolation, and predatory riffs worthy of those masters of evil dissonance at their calloused fingertips, Azarath create a fiery netherworld that any DM diehard would be willing to burn eternally in over this virus-riddled cesspit we currently inhabit.
FOR FANS OF: Immolation, Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel
