BLOODYWOOD: PRESS. IN THIS MOMENT: PRESS/JEREMY SAFFER.
March will mark two years since the release of In This Moment’s last album, 2020’s Mother -a record that produced another breakout single in The In-Between and, perhaps most memorably of all, a raucous cover of Queen’s We Will Rock You, featuring rockstar pals Lzzy Hale and Taylor Momsen. While details are thin on the ground when it comes to exactly where and when we’ll see the arrival of record number eight, we do know that it is in the works, and we think there’s a very good chance we’ll see it before the end of 2022.
In March last year, singer Maria Brink revealed that the band had taken the enforced downtime of the pandemic to make some much needed upgrades to their working process - and that it meant new music was indeed happening.
“There [are] conversations happening right now and music being made,” she told Sirius XM’s Trunk Nation. “We had time to finally build music studios in our houses. We have some cool collaborations that we’re doing right now, and we are starting to write new music. So, it’s definitely happening.”
