Ø Lunch with… John Miles - Son of actor Sir Bernard Miles, John eschewed a career in the theatre in favour of motor racing. He joined the works Lotus team, racing the Lotus Europa GT and F3 Lotus 41 with great success in 1967-68. He made his F1 debut in 1969 when he was entrusted with developing the 4WD 63, then spent 1970 as team-mate to Jochen Rindt. After Rindt’s death at Monza, Miles was replaced in the team and his motor racing career petered out.
