ARTURIA AudioFuse

It’s been a long time coming, but Arturia’s much-anticipated audio interface has arrived. Dave Gale strikes a match and retires to a safe distance…

I t’s finally here… The AudioFuse, billed by Arturia as an ‘advanced audio interface’, packs an awful lot into a very small package, measuring around 125mm per side, and with a slightly angled front fascia, all rounded off with a lid and available in a number of different colours. It has quite a pleasing form factor, with some lovely symmetry of layout, on the panel. One thing I was confused about, when this product was first announced, was the response that Arturia had to trailing cables, and most notably Looms, that some companies have opted to adopt in order to get multiple signals in and out of the interface. This made me wonder if the AudioFuse would be some form of wireless device, but while it isn’t wireless, neither does it have a loom attached; AudioFuse offers a pair of Neumann Mic/Jack inputs on the front, along with a pair of sensibly mounted headphone jack outputs, in both 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch formats.

About MusicTech

We’re very excited to reveal our new-look issue, which is on sale from Thursday 19th October, and we’ve gone the extra mile to give you something really special. Building up the courage to share your tracks over the internet is one thing, but performing them live is something else entirely. That’s where our cover feature, From Studio To Stage comes in. With 7-pages of expert advice from Matin Delaney you’ll be gig-ready in no time. Elsewhere in the mag we chat with Emre Ramazanoglu, who’s body of work includes several 2017 movie soundtracks as well as some of the biggest pop releases in recent years. Additionally we present our 10 tips to speed up your computer (without buying a new one), a retrospective on the Roland SH-101 and 6 reasons to buy more gear (as if you needed any). This and so much more in the new-look issue of MusicTech magazine.
