Bogotá, Colombia—Colombians who backed a peace deal with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, known as FARC, show their disappointment after the deal was narrowly rejected in a referendum on October 2. President Juan Manuel Santos had hoped to seal his legacy with an agreement to end the five-decade war that killed more than 220,000 people, but opponents complained it was too soft on the rebels. Santos said a negotiated cease-fire would remain in place and vowed to keep trying to end the war.
