A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Lismore has been disqualified from driving for 12 months and been fined £400 for dangerous driving.
John Carmichael of Croft 5 Craignich, Lismore, overtook two cars on the A85 between Oban and the Halfway House filling station without a clear view of the road ahead. The incident, on August 9, 2017, at 7.30am, was captured on an oncoming car’s dash cam. Carmichael pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared in Oban Sheriff Court on January 29.
Sheriff Thomas Ward said: ‘If the complainer had not stopped, there would have been a crash.’
