LAST THURSDAY, on the shortest day of the year, 21 people wound their way slowly up a rough, boulder-strewn path to a cairn on the south side of a hill a mile above Lochailort to remember 13 Royal Air Force personnel who were killed when the plane they were travelling in fell out of the sky exactly to the hour half a century before.
