Fort William shortlisted for most beautiful high street

FORT William has been shortlisted as one of Scotland’s most beautiful high streets.

Fort William Town Team announced this week that the High Street has been shortlisted, along with nine other Scottish town centres, for the prize of Scotland’s Most Beautiful High Street.

Town Team secretary Sue Keen said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our entry into the Scottish Towns Partnership competition has been shortlisted. Our High Street might not be the most architecturally stunning in Scotland, but the Town Team thinks it’s a fantastic place to be.’ After receiving a high number of entries, a judging panel of representatives from Scotland’s Towns Partnership and Keep Scotland Beautiful has drawn up a shortlist of 10 finalists.
