Oban brickie knocked man off his bar stool

A DRUNKEN 30-year-old bricklayer accidentally knocked a man off a bar stool while attempting to punch another, Oban Sheriff Court heard on Wednesday.

In the dock was Kris Donald Gillies, of 9b Tweedale Street, Oban, who admitted assault by attempting to punch a man on the head and also behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by repeatedly shouting and acting in an aggressive manner.

Depute fiscal Jenny Sopiano said the incident happened on January 22 last year at a licensed premises in Oban.
