A BROTHER and sister who have taken over a cafe in Acharachle are serving up sweet snacks and a sanctuary for students.

Carolanne and David John Cameron took over the Acharacle Tea Room at the end of April. Having grown up in the area, they knew the tea room well and both also have catering experience.

Carolanne said: ‘We got the keys a few weeks ago and then opened on April 28 so it has been a bit manic and a quick turnaround but I think the locals appreciate that and are pleased that we are open again.
