A YOUNG ecologist has teamed up with her scientist mother to launch a business offering ecological advice and surveys throughout Scotland.
Kerry MacKay, 25, and her mum Jessie Wormell set up Clearwing Ecology with support from Business Gateway Argyll and Bute, specialising in butterflies, moths and freshwater invertebrates.
Based in Oban, Clearwing Ecology offers habitat surveys, identification and interpretation services and cataloguing of historical collections. It also hosts public events. The company also monitors protected species and promotes practises that support rare and endangered groups.
