Gaels are blown away by Easter arts fest

OBAN’S Easter Fèis continues to be a popular choice for youngsters in the holidays.

More than 170 children and teenagers, aged between eight and 18, attended the Gaelic arts and culture festival this year.

The festival, which was held at Oban Primary campus from April 3-7, gives pupils the chance learn and hone skills in a variety of subjects including music, sport, drama and art – taught by 30 tutors from all over the country.

Throughout the week, the festivalgoers attended four classes per day, as well as spending a portion of their morning prepping for a final end-ofweek performance.

The final concert allows them to show off the new skills they have learned in front of their friends and family.
