MAGNUS Bradbury from Oban was presented with the Sir William Purves quaich by the donor himself.
This quaich is awarded annually by the Friends of Scottish Rugby to the ‘young player most likely to make it into the national team’. Magnus travelled to the Caledonia Club in Belgravia, London, for the event.
A former pupil of Oban High School, Magnus secured a scholarship to study at Merchiston Castle School, during which time he made his Scotland under-18 international debut, coming off the bench against England in March 2013 and making the starting XV in the victories over Ireland and Wales. He represented Glasgow at under-16 and under-17 levels, Edinburgh at under-18 and Scotland at under-17 and under-18.
