AN ‘ODE to the Highlands and Islands’, a play called The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil is on its first professional tour of Scotland in 20 years, performed by Dundee Rep Theatre.

The show, billed as ‘a cornerstone of contemporary Scottish theatre’, explores themes such as the Clearances, the decline of the Gaelic language, land ownership and the oil industry. It is also known the ‘ceilidh play’, with lots of live music, dancing and some audience interaction.
