THE islands are missing out on timber route funding – but four routes in Argyll and Bute have claimed cash.
The four are Kilchrenan B845, West Loch Awe C30, Kilmichael Glen c38 and the B800 West Cowal, which will take a share of Argyll and Bute Council’s allocation of £554,000.
Islanders on Mull had hoped that more cash would be made available for the south island road network prior to major harvesting work which is due to take place.
