DAWNFRESH has applied to Marine Scotland for a licence to modify moorings for its existing trout farm site at Port na Mine on Loch Etive.
The move comes after a plan to increase the size of the pens and the spacing between them was granted planning permission by Argyll and Bute Council in November last year.
The decision by the council allowed Dawnfresh to increase the size of the pens from 70m to 80m in diameter and to increase the spacing between them. The application to Marine Scotland is the latest is a series of permissions which must be sought.
