CALMAC will trial a one-way traffic system at Oban’s ferry terminal for six weeks from Monday March 20 at 5.30am.
The trial, aimed at improving safety for pedestrians and easing congestion on the Railway Pier, will see tenants, delivery and CalMac vehicles enter the ferry terminal from Alma Crescent and drive through one-way only, exiting via Station Square.
Other changes include designating the area from the Cal-Mac terminal building to Station Square a pedestrian-only zone, and installing street furniture to separate loading bays from pedestrian areas.
