Children designed and wore their own raven outfits at workshops on the day Dunollie’s Raven Knoll opened.
The MacDougall clan chief opened Dunollie’s new Raven Knoll, created by volunteer Sean MacQuade, last month in a Viking-themed ceremony.
The common raven, or ‘corbie’ in Scots, heard ‘gronking’ evocatively at play in the updrafts of a mountain crag or ruined castle, is perhaps Britain’s most intelligent bird and the most fabled in Celtic and Norse mythology.
