CONNEL’S John McPhee took a solid sixth place at the recent Aragon Grand Prix, setting him up well for the next stage of the season: the triple-header flyaway races, which go from Japan to Australia to Malaysia on three consecutive weekends. First up last Sunday was the Twin Ring Motegi Grand Prix in Japan.
Motegi is a track characterised by zones of hard braking and hard acceleration. Eight right- and six left-handed corners make up the venue, with the longest straight measuring up at 762m. McPhee has a number of top 10 results at the track already, including an impressive fourth place back in 2014.
The battle for more points continues, with McPhee back in the top six of the title fight.
