COUNCILLORS say they have ‘scraped the bottom of the barrel’ to make £1.4 million of efficiency savings – and it will take ‘substantial change’ to find up to £10 million of savings to balance the books.
A budget consultation set by Argyll and Bute Council is currently asking the public to rank its ser vices in order of importance from 12 categories, including education for children, care for vulnerable people, and bin collections.
