Many parents and schools will be delighted with the news that Argyll and Bute Council has approved a motion by Mull councillor Mary-Jean Devon that every head teacher has the authority to reinstate the post of librarian in their school should they so wish.
Money was freed up from a council tax banding change and education secretary John Swinney MSP made the decision that an extra £100 million should be made available for education in Argyll and Bute.
