The 34th Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival

Preparations for the 34th Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival are well under way. The competition element of the festival runs like a well-oiled machine with almost 100 volunteers involved in the organising, stewarding, and chaperoning of the contestants, adjudicators and visitors. The logistical exercise is not for the faint-hearted. Breege Smyth, who chairs the festival, is full of praise for the committee.
