A KINLOCHLEVEN man has received one of the highest accolades from the Pope. Allan MacIsaac was awarded the Benemerenti Medal, an honour awarded to members of the clergy and laity for service to the Catholic Church. Bishop Brian McGhee, Argyll and the Isles, presented the award to Mr MacIsaac in June.
Family, friends and congregation of the Good Shepard Church in Kinlochleven gathered to celebrate Mr MacIsaac’s achievement. Father Andrew Barrett, parish priest for Ballachulish and Kinlochleven, told the Lochaber Times: ‘It was a lovely community celebration for Allan who received the well-deserved award.’
