AT ABOUT 10.40am on Wednesday February 14, a car was stopped by police on Soroba Road, Oban, for a routine check, which revealed there was no insurance in force for the vehicle and the driver, a 21-yearold man, did not hold a driving licence. The man was charged with the offences and the vehicle was seized. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

AT ABOUT 12.30pm on Wednesday February 14, police received a report that a man allegedly assaulted another man in Station Road, Oban. Subsequently, a 56-year-old man was traced and charged with assault. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
