Best of the West annual crafts competition wants applicants

BUSINESS Gateway Argyll and Bute is again giving the region’s craft businesses the chance to showcase and sell their products at the popular Best of the West festival.

Now in its fourth year, the competition invites local businesses to pitch for a free trade stand within the Business Gateway-sponsored craft tent. The pitch should include what is special about their venture and why their products would be a good fit at the festival.

The annual Best of the West festival will be held at Inveraray Castle on Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10, with music on the evening of Friday September 8.

More than 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the festival over the weekend and this competition allows up to six local crafters the chance to raise the profile of their business.
