There was a spirited response to our story about the zebra crossing on Soroba Road, near Lidl, which many people have classed as dangerous.
Charlie Jack warned: ‘There is far too much happening in the immediate vicinity, for pedestrians crossing the road to be kept safe by a zebra crossing.’
Willie Reid lamented: ‘The problem is that a lot of drivers in Oban think that a zebra crossing is a Banksie. The ones at tescos and Lidl are routinely ignored. Time to join the 20th century folks, never mind the 21st.’
