North Connel flats approved

A FORMER Oban councillor has been granted permission to build four flats in North Connel.

Iain MacLean applied to Argyll and Bute Council last January for a certificate of lawfulness to use his land north of Falls View Apartments in North Connel for ‘general storage purposes’.

But the application drew many objections, including one neighbour who argued that the ‘views of decaying caravans, a Portakabin, dead cars and junk…would make Steptoe’s yard look organised’.
