COUNCIL officers have dismissed reports this week that there are plans to close the Stromeferry Bypass for several weeks next spring, writes Neill Bo Finlayson.
The head of infrastructure at Highland Council, Colin Howell, has responded to reports claiming that the A890 bypass will be closed for several weeks next year, insisting that no traffic management plans have been made yet and talks are still on-going.
This comes after the council announced plans to spend £1 million to remove unstable rock from the road-side, which will require ‘significant traffic management’.
