Jimmy Jardine with Norma MacLennan who leads the Kilmallie Dancers.
MORE than 50 Scottish country dancers from Lochaber and Inverness gathered in Kilmallie Community Centre to say goodbye to Jimmy Jardine.
Jimmy, who is moving to West Linton, has been a stalwart of the Lochaber Scottish country dancing scene for years. The event last Tuesday evening was a fitting farewell and included the special dance ‘Up and Down Ben Nevis’, which was written to honour Jim- my. Jimmy is well-known in Lochaber for his hill running, having completed the annual Ben Nevis Race 40 times. His book Up the Ben wi’ Eddie has sold thousands of copies and raised more than £30,000 for charity.
