PUPILS at Raasay Primary School have been experiencing the world of work.
Normal lessons were put aside to allow pupils to take part in workshops covering a wide range of professions as part of the Developing Young Workforce programme.
Head teacher Wilma Duncan explained: ‘We place great emphasis on developing knowledge and experience in our young people both within and outwith the classroom. Vocational experiences, provided by our local community, offer young people the opportunity to gain vital skills and experiences and enhance their understanding of skills development that links the classroom learning to that of the wider world.’
