LOCHABER MSP Kate Forbes has highlighted the ‘trailblazing’ work of the Glenuig Inn in Lochailort as the Scottish Government published its draft climate change plan.
She told the Scottish parliament the Glenuig Inn was a great example of how remote rural businesses could ‘innovatively adapt and substantially lower their carbon footprint’.
In 2015 the inn was the first in the UK to receive a gold award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme and has been completely powered by renewable energy since March that year.
