OBAN Rotary Club recently handed over a cheque for £500 to Argyll Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) to help them buy a second modern carriage.
Graham Fraser of Alba presented the award to RDA organiser Jane Isaac.
Argyll RDA Driving Group operates from a base in Benderloch, teaching disabled people how to control horse-drawn carriages, which leads to enhanced confidence and wellbeing for those taking part. The group is currently in the process of fundraising for the second carriage which is more lightweight than the traditional models, making it easier for the horses to pull.
