A LOCHABER family raised money to take two therapy ponies to a Ballachulish care home. Siobhan Cooper and her dad Andy raised more than £500 for Abbeyfield Care Home to bring in the animals, Wilson and Edwardo. The family has close ties with the care home as Siobhan’s grandmother is a resident there. Her grandfather also lived at the care home but he died earlier this year.
Dominic Duffy, manager at the care home, told the Lochaber Times it is lovely to see the family still so involved with the care home staff and residents, even after their loved one has died. ‘Donations like this are what enable us to do extra activities, such as getting the ponies for the residents. We would not be able to fund things like this otherwise,’ he said.
