Staff at Belford Hospital donned their pyjamas for an hour on Tuesday this week to show their support for the #endPJparalysis campaign. The 70-day challenge, which runs from April 17 to June 26, is a national initiative to get hospital inpatients dressed and moving around in a bid to improve physical health as well as emotional wellbeing. The team set up a display board in the foyer of the Fort William hospital for information and to encourage conversation about the harm caused by patients staying in bed all the time.Families and carers are also being encouraged to bring in day clothes for their loved ones while they are in hospital.
