LOCHABER road safety week begins on Monday August 29.
There will be 999 services demonstrations and activities taking place in local community fire stations in the evenings throughout the week, starting with Kinloch leven and Lochaline on the Monday; Fort William, Mallaig and Strontian on Tuesday 30; Acharacle on Wednesday 31; and Kilchoan on Thursday September 1.
The week will come to a close with a first-time event at Lochaber High School on Saturday September 3. This will feature even more demonstrations and simulations of road traffic accidents and as well as a young car driver experience zone (14- to 17-year-olds) and first aid information.
