Parties rally over road issue

RESIDENTS in Dunbeg have voiced their concern about an ‘unsafe’ road in the village and have called for improvements to be made to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

One community council member has said that the community will reject any additional planning applications for the area until the work is done.

Kirk Road, which is the only route to a number of high-traffic locations in the village, such as Dunstaffnage Castle, the Scottish Association for Marine Science, Marine Court and Little Learners Nursery, is the subject of a community campaign to implement improvements such as street lighting and speed limit signs.
