POLICE Scotland in the Highlands and Islands say they have renewed their commitment to crack down on bogus callers.
Police in the Highlands and Islands are working closely with trading standards and other partner agencies and are committed to reducing the number of individuals who are caught out by doorstep criminals, keeping vulnerable people safe and empowering local communities.
Doorstep crime affects some of the most vulnerable members of society, with perpetrators mainly targeting victims due to a perceived vulnerability, such as age, gender or disability.
