A LOCHABER councillor is seeking to reassure residents cladding installed on public and private properties are safe following the high rise flats fire in London.
Following the Grenfell disaster and concerns of Highland residents, Caol and Mallaig councillor Allan Henderson asked council officials to check on the types of insulation and cladding the council has overseen and installed on local authority properties along with private owners.
Mr Henderson said he has been reassured by the local authority the materials used are safe.
