CAMPAIGNERS claiming victory over RBS have pledged to keep piling on pressure so the reprieved Barra and Inveraray branches stay open for good.
The two branches were among 10 of the bank’s rural outlets which it had decided to shut but this week it announced a change of heart after listening to customers, communities and politicians.
They and others in Biggar, Beauly, Comrie, Douglas, Gretna, Melrose, Kyle and Tongue will now stay open at least until the end of this year before being reviewed to see if they can stay operational.
