A FORT William man who swore at an 11-year-old while the boy was pushing his bike through the town’s underpass, was ordered to be of good behaviour when he appeared in court last week.
Martin Matthews, 58, of Campbell Court, had already pleaded guilty at an earlier appearance at Fort William Sheriff Court that shortly after 10am on April 30 last year he had behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause a reasonable person fear or alarm by shouting and swearing at the boy.
The underpass links the town’s Middle Street and MacFarlane Way and the youngster had got off his bike as he made his way through it.
