Derek Connery, from Bid4Oban, urges local people to saddle up and embrace European Mobility Week

THIS month Bid4Oban will be hosting a number of events in conjunction with European Mobility Week, which runs from September 16 to 22.

Oban is a great town centre for cyclists.

Rather than being about disabled travel – the title confuses people a little because of its similarity to Motability – this week is about the promotion of sustainable travel. Sustainable travel is either walking, cycling or using public transport rather than cars.
