THE UK premiere of Warren Miller’s 68th annual snowsports film, Line of Descent, visits Fort William this weekend with two showings at the Snowgoose Bar and Restaurant at Nevis Range. On Saturday, November 11, the gonodola opens at 6.45pm for uphill travel for a welcome reception at 7pm. The film showing begins at 7.30pm and the last gondola down is at 10pm. There will be prize draws and other entertainment on the night. Adults are £19.50 and juniors are £15. On the following Sunday afternoon, the film’s family premiere will be at 5pm. Catch the gondola up to the top station between 4.15pm and 4.45pm and allow a minimum of 15 minutes for the gondola journey. Tickets are £14 for adults, £10 concessions and £39 for a family ticket. THE Sunart Centre in Strontian will be hosting the Nordic Fiddlers Bloc on Saturday November 11. The concert features three award-winning fiddle players from different Nordic fiddle regions – Olav Mjelva (Norway), Anders Hall (Sweden) and Kevin Henderson (Shetland). The concert begins at 8pm, and tickets can be bought locally and online £14/£12/£8.
