HIJOBS

Thanks to two local entrepreneurs it has never been easier to find a job in your local area. Lochaber-based Christopher Snelgrove and Laura Saunders founded Hijobs in 2014 as a direct response to the problems faced by local people – how do you find a job that will allow you to live and work in rural Scotland and not be forced to relocate to the likes of Glasgow, Edinburgh or further afield?

As Christopher puts it: ‘I love living in the West Highlands and didn’t want to compromise my lifestyle by uprooting to the central belt. However, the “big name” recruitment sites focus all their energy on recruiting in the big population centres. Laura and I set out to change that, and Hijobs was born.’
