WELCOME

The beginning of a great adventure… our Adventure issue brings you a selection of swimming stories from around the globe to inspire your own adventures, big and small. We start with the biggest adventure of them all – a quadruple English Channel crossing. Sarah Thomas talks to us about her return to marathon swimming after cancer and her goal of becoming the first person to complete that 84-mile four-way English Channel swim. Simon Murie recounts his overland journey to Kazakhstan, swimming with his family along the way. Kate Gillwood travels to the Hebrides for a wild swimming trip. And we wave goodbye to our very own swimming adventurer Alice Gartland, who in her final Gear section has selected the best kit you need for your own swimming adventure trip. Good luck Alice in your new endeavours!
