Amid glowing tributes to the retiring Angus Tulloch and John Wood, March also saw fresh attacks on fund fee structures and the sustainability of groups in light of the Standard Life/Aberdeen tie-up.

As much as I agree with efforts to curb fee excesses, and think it is right that underperforming managers should be called to task, I do wonder if we are seeing the beginning of the end for ‘star manager’ culture.
