John Wood (pictured) lead manager of the £1.8bn JOHCM UK Opportunities Fund, will retire on 30 September after a 26-year career in fund management. Rachel Reutter and Michael Ulrich will assume lead responsibilities for the fund and segregated portfolios.

• Quilter Cheviot has appointed Antony Webb to its Londonbased managed portfolio service. Webb previously worked for the firm as an investment manager for nearly four years and returned after a year working at Investec Wealth & Investment. He will support the MPS lead portfolio manager Simon Doherty and the multi-asset team’s co-director of investment, Ben Mountain.
