Reading Philip Hensher’s review (“Children of the Revolution,” March) of David Aaronovitch’s book on his parents I found myself unable to recognise the portrait of his father Sam. Hensher took it as read that Sam Aaronovitch was not only wrong on his extreme left-wing politics but that he was a graceless and essentially unsympathetic character, cut offfrom reality.
