RECIPES ACLAND GEDDES AND PEDRO DA SILVA
Acland Geddes is the author of Summer Every Day and owner of Megan’s restaurant, which has branches in south-west London and is known for its all-day brunches, healthy salads and Mediterranean-influenced sharing plates. Geddes swapped a career in advertising to launch a catering service and worked as a chef in several gastropubs before opening the first branch of Megan’s in 2010, working with his head chef Pedro da Silva, whose creativity and inspiration fill the pages of Summer Every Day.
In it, you’ll find grilled mackerel, orange, fennel and red onion salad with tapenade for an al fresco lunch; fish pie and summer fruit pavlova to feed a crowd; roast poussin with cream cheese, tomatoes and olives for a dinner a deux, and a host of tasty cakes. While blue skies and sunny days can be a rare thing in the UK, it doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of summer dishes.
