Q I have wanted to lose weight for some time but am getting nowhere. This is not simply about vanity – I am overweight, according to my BMI, and I have asthma and high blood pressure. I need to lose a stone to reach a ‘healthy’ weight. I have tried so many regimes – cutting out sugar, fat, a detox diet, plus I have tried cutting back on my normal meals. Every time, I keep it up for about three weeks and then give up. What can I do? I already follow the NHS guidelines for exercise. Name supplied
